    Thank you for sending the PDF document. Our initial assesment was correct, your PDF is not an Adobe PDF Form. You must use Adobe Acrobat or other app such as PDFEscape.com to convert the PDF document into a PDF Form.

    Alternatively, we offer a Fiver gig which will convert the document for you, and will name the fields so that the merge will be automated. Click here if you would like a custom offer to create the PDF Form.

    The [empty] field in the “Select data to export” dropdown is expected as you have not yet saved the Field Map Layout with a “name” for the dataset.

    Regarding “not displaying the PDF entries (like in the demp video) so that I can map my PDF to”…
    Sounds like your PDF is not a standard Adobe PDF Form. If possible, send the PDF as an attachment to support AT formidablepro2pdf DOT com.

    Not exactly, this plugin will take the data that is entered into a Formidable Form and merge the data into your fillable PDF, then it allows the PDF to be emailed as an attachment or downloaded at anytime on demand.

    We are not aware of a WordPress plugin that will extract PDF data from a fillable PDF and insert the data into a WordPress database.

    If you need users to complete an online form and retain a filled in PDF file, our plugin and Formidable Forms will do it.

    Thank you for your suggestion. We agree. Actually, the plugin was originally set to use the server’s default setting, however, in the update released this week we changed the installation so that it will force a 755 setting unless the server requires 777 (as some servers do).

    Thank you for your suggestion. As the development of our plugin is 100% user driven, based on your request, we have moved the maintenance of all url’s to the My Account page on this site, and now each plugin installation will only see forms for the installed URL.

    To access data in Formidable Forms, you’ll need to use the shortcode in a Formidable View and paste the view’s shortcode on the page. Use a filter in the view to limit the view’s data and pass a parameter to the view’s filter in the page’s url.

    There are two ‘special characters’ that were causing issues….
    – Exclamation point in; “Staff Orientation – May 27-June 3rd; All staff required to attend!”
    – Plus sign in; “Google +”

    The image field was not found in the field map layout, it worked once it was mapped.

    We duplicated the field map layout and converted all values back to before “Use separate value” so the prior entries will still work. Except for the two option values listed above.

    You must use a PDF creation program such as Adobe Acrobat DC (not Acrobat Reader) or PDFEscape.com.

    Optionally, you can use an online service such as Fiverr.com to have your PDF converted to a PDF Form.

    Our plugin will not “Expand” fields to fit data or “Span” a field’s data across pages, even with the Export to .docx function.

    The Export to .docx function simply sends the PDF to http://www.pdfaid.com/ which then converts the file to .docx and sends it back. The process is slow and results vary depending on the document.

    The work-around we use for the issue you described is Adobe’s “Auto” font size and we adjust the height of the text field box to limit the max font size.

    Glad to hear the plugin is working well for you, just wish the renewal system did as well! Yes, you’ll need to purchase a new activation key, our automatic renewal is not working correctly. No need to reinstall, just replace the expired key with the new key and all will continue to work as expected.
