This is my first time using PRO2PDF, and I am having trouble merging my filemap with my PDF. I have uploaded the PDF I wish to use, and I have filled (I think) the dataset with dummy text, but it shows as this:
I have a fairly long job application, and the field map designer is not displaying the PDF entries (like in the demp video) so that I can map my PDF to. I’m sure there is something simple that I am not doing correctly, but I cannot figure it out.February 7, 2017 at 7:55 pm #11824
The [empty] field in the “Select data to export” dropdown is expected as you have not yet saved the Field Map Layout with a “name” for the dataset.
Regarding “not displaying the PDF entries (like in the demp video) so that I can map my PDF to”…
Sounds like your PDF is not a standard Adobe PDF Form. If possible, send the PDF as an attachment to support AT formidablepro2pdf DOT com.

Thank you for sending the PDF document. Our initial assesment was correct, your PDF is not an Adobe PDF Form. You must use Adobe Acrobat or other app such as PDFEscape.com to convert the PDF document into a PDF Form.
Alternatively, we offer a Fiver gig which will convert the document for you, and will name the fields so that the merge will be automated. Click here if you would like a custom offer to create the PDF Form.

FYI: PRO2PDF is not compatible with Adobe “LiveCycle” forms…February 21, 2017 at 2:37 pm #11926
Could you clarify what type of form this is, if not a PDF file? Are you saying it is a LiveCycle form, or created using LiveCycle?
I did not create the job application document, and I am not familiar with the difference between PDF documents and PDF form. Is it that the PDF document is not fillable?
I do have Acrobat DC, but am unsure what I need to do to convert to PDF form.
Any help is greatly appreciated.February 21, 2017 at 3:28 pm #11928
