What do you mean by “attach the name”?
You may add Formidable’s User_ID field to the form, then…
. Map the userID field to the PDF in the Field Map LayoutOr, to use the user name in the PDF Filename,
. Add the User_ID’s field_ID in the shortcode with the filename=”xyz” parameter, like this filename=[123] where [123] is the User_ID field.

You’ll need to create a PDF form for the web form data to merge to. Do you have the PDF Form, or a Word Doc you would like the final document to look like? Here’s the demo video of how to create the field map layout and add the shortcode to the web form.

If data in web form fields are filled after the form is submitted, then you’ll need to send the PDF as a link in the email by placing the PRO2PDF shortcode in the body of the email, or in a Formidable View.

Regarding the user name question, add a Formidable User_ID to the web form and a hidden field with a default value of [login] or [first_name] or any other Formidable Default Value shortcode and map the fields to PDF fields.

We logged in and changed the dataset name to the 2nd mapped field [267](Name), however you can change it to any other field that you’d prefer by selecting the radio button on the first column of the Field Map Layout and then save the Field Map Layout.
If you need a different list with download links, we also created this Formidable View list of entries that includes a download link for each entry. You can edit the view to create a better list for your needs.

Yes, we agree, that’s why we created a replacement plugin that will be released next week called E2Pdf. E2Pdf is much easier to use. PRO2PDF does not work with Gravity Forms. Gravity Forms will be added to our newest plugin called E2Pdf. The beta version will be released soon, however, Gravity Forms may not be added for a couple of months.

The issue is likely being caused by the embedded font, not the plugin. Again, the plugin does not control or manage fonts.
Are you able to provide specifics for us to review, such as;
. Are there specific fields with the issue or are all fields having the issue?
. Is the issue related to specific words or characters?
. When the issue occurs on a specific merge, will the merge work when retried, or is the same entry always failing?

We have not experienced the stated issue in the past, it may be necessary to embed a different font as the plugin does not control fonts, fonts are controlled by the PDF. Nonetheless, we are willing to take a look at your PDF to see if we are able to provide any further suggestions. Attach the PDF to this form and we’ll take a look.

In the PDF example you sent to us, the “E” checkbox’s value is set to ‘Yes’ rather than ‘E’, so it won’t map correctly… but all others are merging correctly. Here’s the web form and merge example.
If you need further assistance, we would need to see your web form and the actual PDF form you are using so we may be specific with the directions.

For checkbox fields, each PDF checkbox must have a different field name and each in the group must be mapped to the same Formidable checkbox field.
