    It appears the site’s hosting provider has disabled the shell_exec function in php.ini. Contact the provider and request that shell_exec be enabled.

    Two activation keys were purchased, order #’s 33103 and 34247. 33103 expired on April 23, 2022, the other key is active with a key ending in “94D6E” expiring on January 26, 2023.

    If you confirm that your key is correct then try merging a PDF from the plugin’s EXPORT tab and let us know the result, and if you are using an SMTP plugin then try disabling the plugin and testing the PDF again.

    Try changing the PDF text field font to a common font.
    Try selecting the “Flatten” option on the Field Map Layout.

    Try disabling all other plugins, then enable PRO2PDF, if it works, enable all other plugins one-at-a-time until the conflicting plugin is found.

    Sounds like a plugin conflict or a feature of a security plugin.

    Try disabling all plugins except Formidable Forms and PRO2PDF, then test. If it works, then enable one plugin at a time and test until the conflicting plugin is found.

    Has PRO2PDF ever worked on your WP installation?
    Have you created more than one PRO2PDF template on your WP installation?
    – If yes, do any of the other PRO2PDF templates work correctly?

    Yes, the Intranet Version is 100% offline. You are required to install PDFtk on your server. We do not offer support for PDFtk.

    The PDF form has fonts that are not compatible ‘MSungStd-Light’ and ‘UniCNS-UCS2-H’.

    The Unicode extension can possibility work with Chinese characters using the Arial MS font, but there are 2 problems:

    1. The font size is 40mb (so all PDFs will have 40mb+ size (if not flattened)), and;
    2. Licensing issues because the font is not free. So it’s best if you use our newest plugin, E2Pdf. E2Pdf allows you to upload and use your own font(s).

    Not all PDFs work in PRO2PDF. Only pdfs that are compatible with Adobe Acrobat.

    . What program (or app) was the PDF created in?
    . What is the file size of the original PDF Form?
    . How many fields are in the Formidable Form?

    By default, merged PDFs are visible to all users. If your user can see the form’s On-Submit Message, then the user will also see the link to download the merged PDF form when the PRO2PDF shortcode is used inside the On-Submit Message Box.

    Viewing PDFs may be limited by user roles and/or specific user IDs by setting the “Allow downloads only for roles:” and “Allow downloads only for user IDs:” options on the field map layout.

    If users are redirected to a page or post – and you are not using the form’s On-Submit Message – follow these instructions to place the PRO2PDF shortcode inside a Formidable View and then place the view’s shortcode on the page or post.

    If all has been working and now has issues, it’s likely due to server updates to PHP and/or a change to one or more PHP settings.

    The following PHP settings are recommended to minimize timeout errors;
    max_execution_time = 600
    max_input_time = 600
    max_input_vars = 4000
    memory_limit = 512M
    post_max_size = 256M
    session.gc_maxlifetime = 1440

    PRO2PDF does not have a limit to the number of fields that may be mapped.  The only limits are in your server’s PHP settings.  

    We have not tested any PDF forms with more than 700 fields.  For that number, we recommend the following settings.   
    max_execution_time = 600
        max_input_time = 600
        max_input_vars = 4000
        memory_limit = 512M
        post_max_size = 256M
        session.gc_maxlifetime = 1440

    Feel free to adjust your server’s settings to maximize the wait time to merge as many fields as possible.
