    – Was the plugin working with the free or trial version?

We have not seen this error in the past, complete this form and we’ll take a look at the installation. If not possible, then send a screenshot of the plugin’s SETTINGS tab.

Create both Field Map Layouts mapping to the same PDF form, then, use the “Second Dataset” function on the Plugin’s Field Map Layout page to generated a link which will combine two ‘Forms’ into the one PDF form.

NOTE: The “Second Dataset” function will not email the merged pdf, instead you’ll need to email a link using the shortcode provided by the second dataset function.

Let us know if you need additional assistance using the second dataset function as we remain at your service.

Sounds like you have another Field Map Layout for that form that is not working correctly. Take a look at this support thread to correct the issue, or use this form to provide access. The email for the account is presidente AT aircrew.

No, the shortcode requires an EntryID. You may use Lookup or Dynamic fields or add a hidden field with the EntryID to the view’s form.

If you need assistance with adding the original form’s entryID to the view’s form, please complete this form, we’ll take a look and provide specific options.

If the view is not the from that the PDF is populating from, then change [id] to [123] where 123 is the field ID of the common field that contains the correct EntryID from the “frmproapplication38” form.

    – Make sure the field names do not have any special characters.
    – Make sure the radio group field names match and the field values are exact (they are case and space sensitive)

We are willing to login and fix the mapping for you, please complete this form to provide access to your installation.

Or, you can use the form above to send just the PDF file to us for further review.

    Sure, we’d be happy to help. First, let’s understand your specific need;
    1. Are users logged in to WordPress?
    2. How many different PDFs will each user be able to re-download/re-print?
    3. Is there currently a page on the site that users will access to re-download/re-print
    4. Do admin users have a need to download/print any of the user’s PDFs?

Add a Formidable upload field to your form and map it to a PDF text field placed and sized where you need the barcode to appear on the PDF document. The uploaded image will merge to the PDF.

Let us know if you need additional assistance.

PDFs are not ‘stored’ they are created when the link is clicked, then the PDF may be saved wherever the user decides. PDFs can be also be recreated at anytime by using the shortcode and the Formidable entryID for the user’s entry.

Let us know if you need more assistance setting up the shortcode to recreate PDFs.

Yes, there are a lot of users who use the plugin for a pay-per-document service, including us. However, this is not ‘built-in’ to the plugin, it’s something you must create with Formidable and it’s payment gateways, and then use the plugin’s shortcodes to provide preview documents as well as pay-per-view documents after a user has paid.

Filenames of the downloaded PDF may only be changed from the plugin’s “Export” tab. Change the text box marked “PDF file name in e-mails:”.

This setting is static and does not recognize Formidable field shortcodes.

By the way; the current record is also without quotes, like this…
    [formidable-download form=”frmproapplication38″ dataset=[id] layout=”1016″ inline=1]

Almost had it by using the field id, but you must remove the quotes.
    [formidable-download form=”frmproapplication38″ dataset=[2060] layout=”1016″ inline=1]

The plugin is not compatible with LiveCycle form fields. However, if the barcode is static, you could print a blank form – with the barcode – to a PDF file, then upload to PDFEscape and create the PDF form with the barcode as a static image on the page.

If the barcode is dynamic, then it may be possible to upload an image to the Formidable form and then merge the image to the PDF form…

Let us know if the above is helpful or you need further assistance with this issue. We remain at your service.

We can only think of two reasons this may occur; 1) Missing forms are marked as “draft” not “published”, 2) There is one or more forms with special characters in the form name causing the dropdown list creation to fail.

If the above reasons are not present, we will need to take a look as this is not an issue we have seen in the past. Please use this form to provide access to the site.

The bar code should not be effected by the plugin, have you run into a problem with the form?

Use the Formidable field ‘key’ as the PDF name to automatically map the field.

    CORRECTION

You can simply upload the LiveCycle form to PDFEscape, save it and download it. Unless you want to change the field names, then you’ll need to right-click on each field to unlock, rename, and save… Then, download and it’s ready to be used with PRO2PDF.

You are not able to ‘convert’ the fields, you’ll need to print a blank form to PDF then upload the new document to PDFEscape.com, then add the Acrobat form fields to the document.

We found a PDF field name with a special character that is causing the merge to file.

Renaming the PDF field “7) This authorization expires” to remove the parentheses will fix the issue.

File size can cause timeouts depending on internet latency, however, the size would need to be more than a few MB’s to cause an issue. This is not likely a PDF size issue if the PDF is under 1MB.

Two other possible issues may be; 1) PDF filename, PDF field name, or Formidable Form field name has special characters causing a merge failure, 2) corrupt or non-standard PDF file.

Once receive, we’ll take a look at the PDF and let you know what we find.

Yes…. and no. Yes, the plugin can may any PDF form. However, the plugin cannot map this specific form https://www.uscis.gov/i-130 without changing the fields to Acrobat Form Fields, rather than the LiveCycle fields currently on the form.

If you need help changing the fields, we can provide paid support through our Fiver.com gig. If you need a free tool, try PDFEscape.com.

Please verify; 1) the PDF already has Adobe Form Fields, 2) the PDF has NO Adobe ‘Signature’ fields, 3) the PDF was NOT created in Adobe LiveCycle, 4) the field names show up as a dropdown list in the Field Map Layout screen.

If all of the above are verified, we would need to review the PDF document to troubleshoot the issue. Please use this form to send the PDF to us. No need to complete the entire form if only sending the PDF.

No, you must at least map one field and check the option to “Attach file to Email notifications” for the merge to work and the pdf to attach to emails.

NOTE: Be sure to uncheck “Attach file to Email notifications” for all test, unfinished or abandoned field map layouts as they will cause issues with email attachments form the other field map layout(s).
