    Here’s the demo video, and here’s an important pointer not mentioned in the video…

    . On the SETTINGS tab, select the option to “Enable automated layout creation for new field maps”.
    . Name PDF fields EXACTLY the same as the corresponding Formidable Form field name. If there are more than one field with the same name then name the PDF field the same as the Formidable Form field ‘key’ which will allow the plugin to auto-create the field map layout.

    PRO2PDF does not add form fields to PDF files, it simply merges data from Formidable Form Fields to existing PDF Form Fields. You must add PDF form fields using Adobe Acrobat or another Adobe Form app such as PDFEscape.com.

    In your original message you indicated the page header read “Formidable Forms”, however, the screenshot shows Formidable PRO2PDF, which is our plugin, not Formidable Forms.

    Fields in Repeatable Sections DO NOT show up in Field Map Layout, you must select the “Repeatable Section” and the “Repeatable” or “Repeatable (separate fields)” format option, then manually enter the Formidable field “key” or “id” into the space provided. Review these instructions.

    No, flattened PDFs cannot scroll long text because the form field which scrolls the text is no longer on the form. However, a work around is to edit the PDF form to make all the fields “Read Only”, then do not flatten. Users will be able to scroll long text but not change any of the text.

    With nearly 2000 daily users we are confident that our plugin is not the origin of the malware. If you have created any field map layouts use the “Templates” tab to create a backup template(s) then delete the plugin and reinstall from the WordPress Plugin Directory.

    Based on the description of the workflow, the PDF is created after the user clicks submit on Form A, which saves the PDF, Form B has no data and therefore would not create a PDF. We are not sure how to advise you regarding this issue and the described workflow, this may be outside standard support and may require paid support.

    Why is the PDF from Form A not the correct PDF to attach to Form B’s email?

    Admin users would need Adobe Acrobat (or compatible app or service) to “create PDF forms” which will be used by the plugin. Web users do not need Adobe Acrobat, other than an Adobe PDF reader to view PDF files.

    To be clear, our plugin merges data from Formidable Forms to PDF “Forms”, which means you’ll first need to create a PDF Form with Acrobat form fields and upload it to the plugin, then our plugin will fill the PDF form and allow users to receive a PDF with their data by download and/or by email.

    . Will users be entering data into one Formidable Form or multiple Formidable Forms? (If one, PDFs may be emailed as attachments, if multiple, PDFs must be emailed as links.) How many Formidable Forms will collect user data for the PDF forms?

    Looking at the provided information, we are not able to confirm the issue is being caused by the PRO2PDF plugin, it appears the issue is with Formidable Forms or another plugin causing a conflict with Formidable Forms or PRO2PDF. Have you tried contacting the great support team at Formidable Forms?

    In our experience working with Formidable support, they will likely need to reproduce the issue in order to find the cause. They will suggest disabling all plugins other than Formidable Forms to find out if there is a conflict. If all works, add the plugins back one-by-one until the conflict is found. They will also want to know if any custom PHP is being executed.

    With the field map open on the Export tab scroll to the bottom of the field map and click “Duplicate this Field Map”. You can then open the newly created field map (copy) and rename, change the PDF, or any other changes.

    We are not aware of any issues as you have described. If the issue only occurs sometimes and without the ability to replicate, then you may be experiencing a PHP timeout.

    . What is the size of the original PDF form? (Making the form smaller may correct occasional timeout issues)
    . How many fields are merging?
    . How many fields are signatures or images?

    Change the “How to apply restrictions by user/role?” setting to “User role OR user ID should match” if you want ALL users with Editor rights to access the plugin, or add the specific Editor users IDs to the “Allow downloads for these user IDs:” text box field.
