I had tested this installation on my sandbox to use for a time-sensitive project. Plugin installed fine.
When attempting to install on my production server (different environment) prior to purchase, I receive a fatal error when attempting to Activate the plugin:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Your PHP installation doesn’t have a MYSQL extension. This plugin requires mysql_connect() functionI am installing the free version via the Plugins menu in WP, prior to purchasing a paid version. I have confirmed my server is running:
— PHP v7
— MySQL v5.6What extension is missing and must be installed? I need to get this plugin working asap please…
ElanaGuestMore info:
I just discovered this link, indicating that the MySQL_Connect function is deprecated and was removed in PHP 7, in favor of MySQLi or PDO_MySQL extension.
Does this mean I cannot use this plugin? My apologies for the urgency but I do not have control of my server to downgrade our version of PHP, and was counting on this functionality/plugin for a critical task on my production server.
Thanks.
