We have not experienced any Error 500’s, so my first thought is that is was a coincidence that it happened while working on a Field Map Layout. Error 500 is the most common and generic web error on the web! What is the status now? What is the URL?
I was able to get into ftp and delete the plugin and the site came back, but my slider plugin disappeared from the server (no I didn’t delete it, too). Once I reinstalled it, the “data” from the plugin was found and the site was totally restored.
At this point, I’m worried about what might have happened. Not sure if it might be easier to have someone else with experience to install this plugin. I’d hate for my client to go down again.
