Let’s say now I have my webform complete and mapped all the fields and a signature field. Then user hits “submit” button.
What I would like is to automatically display the filled in PDF. I don’t just want to give a link to download it, but I want to show the filled-in document on screen so user can review it.
Rather than user having to download it and open it using Acrobat Reader, just show it on the screen right after they hit submit. How can I do this?April 24, 2018 at 4:59 pm #18709
No. You can have the PDF open in the user’s default PDF program, but not in a browser window or tab, this is a coding limitation with regard to popups. The only way to have the PDF open in a new browser window or tab is for the user to click on a link and use the inline=1 shortcode parameter.
The new E2Pdf version is, in the future, expected to include a PDF viewer for WP which will accommodate an instant PDF view after submit. Users of PRO2PDF may migrate to E2Pdf at no charge.
