I am currently trying to install the free version to my test server to do some testing to see if this software is right for my needs. I have uploaded the formidablepro-2-pdf to the plugins section of my server via FTP. I log into my wordpress site and I can click activate for Formidable, but after when i try to go into Formidable PRO2PDF after activation it gives me these two errors:
Formidable PRO2PDF requires Formidable Forms plugin installed and activated. Please activate it.
You can generate only 1 PDF form, because your server has to have Curl extension installed and enabled for PDF generation. Alternatively, you can activate Formidable PRO2PDF if you want to use more forms.
I click on activate it and it returns me to the plugin section. I deactivate the plugin and click activate one again.
I have tried everything i can think of to get this to work. Any pointers would be appreciated.March 7, 2017 at 7:06 am #12076adminKeymasterYou must install the Formidable Forms plugin to use the PRO2PDF plugin, as PRO2PDF is an add-on to Formidable Forms.

March 7, 2017 at 12:17 pm #12086JoshGuestI got it to work finally. Another question I have, is there any way to see a demo of what a form looks like in its pdf format once it has been emailed to us. One of the forms we are looking at redoing is our application for employment and our HR department is very particular of how the information is laid out once its emailed to them.
March 7, 2017 at 12:58 pm #12087adminKeymasterSure, the plugin demo will email the pdf to you if you enter your email address. Don’t worry, we have the form set to “Do not store entries submitted from this form”.

March 7, 2017 at 1:00 pm #12088adminKeymasterTo be clear, our plugin does not “create” pdf documents, the plugin merges data to PDF fields. You’ll create the PDF form and upload the form to the plugin, then map the fields.

March 7, 2017 at 1:27 pm #12089JoshGuestI attempted to do that earlier and the software would not recognize the pdf I created. I had to use the Formidable Forms plugin and create a form there.
March 7, 2017 at 1:28 pm #12090JoshGuestand once i created the field map the layout would never load.
March 7, 2017 at 2:02 pm #12091adminKeymasterSounds like the PDF was created in LiveCycle rather than Acrobat, or there are PDF signature fields in the document. If so, the plugin is not compatible with LiveCycle or Adobe Signature fields, revise the PDF to fix the issue. Or, if not a LiveCycle form or Signature field please email the PDF to support AT formiablepro2pdf DOT com for further review.
