    Hi,

I have a need which will need to run the following scenario:
    1. User enters information (30-40 fields) using Formidable Form(s). This could be a single form broken down in parts to make it easier for user to input information.
    2. This information needs to be distributed as fields for different forms i.e. pre-existing PDF forms. E.g. A field “First Name” on the input form needs to used to pre-populate 4 different PDFs.

    My questions are:
    1. Can one field be mapped to multiple PDFs? E.g. “First Name” field entered by user will need to populate multiple forms containing First Name field. (4 in the example above)
    2. Is it possible to insert a payment gateway or check for completed payment, before generating the PDFs with entered information.
    3. Can the PDF be generated, if this information is being retrieved from a DB table directly, without using Formidable Form?

    Thanks in Advance!

    1. Yes, Formidable Form fields may be mapped to multiple PDF form fields.

    2. Yes, using Formidable Form’s conditional logic or javascript you could populate a hidden field with the plugin shortcode or leave blank, then reference the hidden field in the form’s On Submit message. (This may not work correctly for attaching PDF’s to emails) We may need to work more together on this functionality.

    3. No, not without a great deal of programming, the functions of the plugin are directly tied to Formidable’s architecture. That said, we are considering implementing other form plugins such as Contact Form 7 and Gravity Forms, but that’s going to be sometime in the unforeseeable future.

3-Continued… Unless you’re referring to using the shortcodes without “submitting” a formidable form to merge a pdf with pre-existing formidable form data – then the answer is YES. You would just need to generate your shortcodes as static entries or dynamic fields based on formidable form data entries and forms…

    Hi,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Between #1 & #2, my requirements should be met. I will certainly play with the free version initially to see if I have any follow up questions.

    Best,
    Gaurav

Come to think about it, I do have follow up questions.

If I am populating 4 forms, is it possible to:
    1. Combine 4 populated forms as a single multi-page PDF.
    2. Is it possible to insert separators, either blank or pages with static content, between different forms.

Thanks, and looking forward to hearing back from you.

    1. PRO2PDF (paid) provides functionality to add a second dataset to your shortcode and the pdf form. At this time, we do not expect to expand beyond two datasets.

    2. The plugin supports the mapping of formidable form fields to PDF form fields and attaching to the resulting pdf form to Formidable Form emails. Adding other types of PDF content is not currently supported, or being considered.

NOTE: Using Adobe Acrobat as your PDF Form designer may provide additional capabilities specific to the PDF form structure and content.

With that said… If you see something that this plugin could or should do regarding filling in pdf forms, let us know as we are happy to consider adding new features upon request.
