I have 19 PDF forms, that I have successfully mapped etc. As I have been adding the forms, I’ve been testing it on the backend. The entire process works, but because all the forms equate to 3.3megs, it takes a long time for FormidablePro2PDF to fill out all the fields, and then email it to me.

Will me using PDFTK change anything?
How can I make this process faster so a user isn’t sitting there for 30 minutes waiting for something to complete.

    Many thanks.

    Merge times may be sped up by;
    1. Optimize the PDFs so they are as small as possible. (This may involve recreating the PDFs from scratch)
    2. Installing PDFtk on your server.
    3. Email links to merged PDFs using the PRO2PDF shortcode rather than generating the PDFs upon submit.
    4. 30-mins is a huge exaggeration when the actual time for a 4mb file is actually around one minute.

    Amazing service, and fantastic advice.
I just clicked the PDFTK option, which basically solved my entire issue, and the form uploaded in seconds.

You guys are sincerely such a great team.

    THANKS AGAIN!

Except for one thing. It removed all my propagated Signatures. Can you advise? Signatures were working before I clicked the PDFTK option.

Images (and signatures) are not supported with the use of a local PDFtk installation, and unfortunately, there is no work-around other than using the remote PDFtk service.

What remote PDFTK service would allow this? Why does the PDFTK system strip it of the image?

Do you have any workflows that allow the forms to be filled out on a local computer quickly?

PDFtk will not merge images, our server uses ghostscript and imagemagick which we do not support on other servers due to the various versions and endless configuration possibilities.

Consider using links to the PDFs in the body of the ‘On Submit’ email or replacing Formidable’s AJAX loading image to something else that promotes additional waiting time.

I can’t seem to work out how to create links to the PDF instead of sending the PDFs. What might work is if the forms are just sitting there for our admin to download instead of it sitting there for the user to submit.

The issue is with the signatures it would seem, as it takes ages to propagate this across each form (there are 20 signatures in 19 forms).

How do you put a link in the email to the PDFs instead of actually having the forms in the email?
