hello there. we just installed the free version of the add-on and were wondering of the paid version has some of the following features:

    – does an actual PDF file get created? when we view the PDF is loaded the ajax-admin.php file, with a bunch of parameters.
    – from what i’ve read, the “Attach file to email notification” is only available on the paid version, but does that send a file or the same ajax-admin.php url in the email for the client to download.
    – is there a way that we can send the PDF as the content of the notification email to the user, and not as an attachment?

    thanks,
    Brad.

    – does an actual PDF file get created?
. Yes – and the free version also creates an actual PDF.

“when we view the PDF is loaded the ajax-admin.php file, with a bunch of parameters.”
. We do not understand this statement/question/concern… are you able to elaborate?

. PDF attachments are a functionality of the paid version, however, the free version is capable of sending a link to the PDF in the body of the email using the shortcode.

. We do not understand this question, “send the PDF as the content of the notification email”, emails are not capable of embedding a PDF file, however, you are able to sent the Formidable Form data as the content of the email.. are you able to elaborate further on this question?

    – where can i find the PDF in the the file structure? i want to be able to FTP into the server and download them.

    – i created a test form found here (http://agrilight.staging.wpengine.com/brad-test/) and at the bottom is the short code to one of the PDF’s that has been obtained from the addon, and you can see that its linking to a wp-admin/wp-ajax.php url with paramters.

. PDFs may emailed as attachments, and are created on-demand – when a user clicks the link the PDF is downloaded to the users browser, desktop, or mobile – merged PDFs are NOT stored on the server – only the original PDF form with empty form fields is stored on the server. We can provide an add-on plugin to store PDFs on the server, click here to request.

. Shortcodes are created on the plugin’s EXPORT tab. Select the Form and Field Map Layout – then copy the shortcode below the dropdowns… You’ll need to change the dataset=”xxx” to dataset=[id] to generate a shortcode for the current entry if used in an email or in the form’s On Submit Message Box.

Take a look at the demo video and let us know if you have any other questions.
