    Hi,
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I have a file upload field in the form that limits to just an image. I have a text field in the PDF form that it is mapped to. I have done this before and had the image pull through but when I setup a new form today it doesn’t work. Do you have any hints or steps I can follow to try to troubleshoot why my image isn’t showing up? I don’t even get a URL in that box.

There are currently no known issues with merging images, except trying to merge one image to multiple PDF fields with the same name.

    – Does the form that you created before still work?
    – If yes, try adding (and mapping to) a new PDF text field, be sure the field has a unique name.
    – If no, we may need to take a look to find the issue and will likely need FTP access as well to view server logs. If that’s possible, complete this form. If not let us know and we’ll try to troubleshoot through messaging.

I don’t have direct FTP access as I’m on WPEngine. I don’t see anything in the error logs. I just tried the pdf that I created with the old form that the image did pull through and the image came through. I tried the new form and an older pdf and the image didn’t pull through again. So I think I’ve pinpointed it down to something with how this form is setup for that file upload. But I can’t pinpoint what is different with the 2 image fields.

It’s possible the PDF form is not 100% compatible with Adobe Acrobat or PRO2PDF.

Upload the file here so we can take a look.

Or, we have found pdfescape.com normalizes incompatible PDF forms, try fixing it yourself by uploading the PDF form to pdfescape.com, click to edit the form, then save and download it.

I can try but I don’t know if it’s the PDF. The PDF worked fine when I applied another form to it that had a different image field. But when I use this form it doesn’t seem to pull through. I tried to check the attributes of the field in Formidable but I don’t see anything different between those entries and the ones I have in this new form. The only difference might be that I’m using a PHP push to create the entries in this new form. Could that cause an issue?

Yes. If the entry creation process is not using the traditional method of data entry, then it’s highly possible PRO2PDF is not engaging in the process.

We would need to login to see how the functionality of PRO2PDF would need to change to accommodate the merge.
